Waiver for the military after surgery, any experience?

Your chances of getting a waiver right now are about zero. The economy is bad, and as a result everyone and their sister is trying to enlist in the Armed Forces. This makes a recruiter's job a lot easier because he/she can now pick and choose the potential recruits they want to work on. Anyone requiring a waiver is now being tossed on the back-burner and placed behind the men and women who don't require waivers to enlist. So unless the economy gets a lot better over the next year (and it doesn't look good) you're going to be out of luck.
